The main purpose of this study was to measure the productivity and efficiency in Iran’s airline industry. To meet this ends, the data of 12 companies in airline industry over the period of 2011-2018 were used. Also, in this article sought to measure total factor productivity, technological progress, scale efficiency and change efficiency by using a stochastic frontier and parametric approaches. The results showed that most total factor productivity and change efficiency were in 2014. Also, in the periods of study the average total factor productivity was about 136/8 percentage. Moreover, among the effective factors on productivity the change efficiency and economies of scale have the greatest impact. On the other hand, except Meraj and Qeshm Air, which exhausted all the scale economies, the rest of the companies totally not to be exhausted the economies of scale.Therefore, by increasing product scale and air fleet capacity, economies of scale can be exploited. In addition, the results imply that increasing the market share of each company leads to reduce inefficiency in this industry. So market share aligns with technological progress, scale efficiency and change efficiency were an additional factor in enhancing total factor productivity and efficiency in this industry.
